Karyn was born and bred in South Taranaki. She graduated from the Central Institute of Technology in 1992 with a National Diploma in Podiatry.
Karyn enjoys the challenge of treating a variety of people and foot conditions. Her aim as a podiatrist is to relieve or prevent foot and leg pain, which in turn encourages exercise – key to overall good health.
Karyn has experience working in Aged Care Facilities, the hospital system, PHO and private practice. She spent two years in the UK working within a footcare/footwear company and lived for five years in Southland.
Karyn enjoys continuing her professional development by attending courses, conferences and reading. She is a member of Podiatry New Zealand and is registered with the NZ Podiatry Board.
While not at work Karyn enjoys music and peforming, walking, hiking, cooking, reading, playing golf and running! She recently successfully completed the Oxfam Trail walk, completing 100km in 36 hours.
She is a wife and mum of three teenagers and loves the lifestyle Taranaki provides.
